Congratulations to the Milwaukee Brewers on their World Series victory, and here at Imaginary Brick Wall we’ll celebrate that World Series victory the only way we know how … by ranking and analyzing them for Dynasty. It’s what we do. I kick it off by victory lapping my top pitcher target last off-season, Logan Henderson, before giving you one of my biggest pitching targets for 2027, Shane Drohan. I’m a party pooper on Cooper Pratt and then I dive into the Brewers extremely exciting and deep minor league system. Here is the Milwaukee Brewers 2027 Dynasty Baseball Team Report (Top 10 Prospects/Interesting MLB guys/Strategy Talk):

Pitchers

Logan Henderson – MIL, RHP, 25.1 – History repeats itself. If you pay attention. If you’ve lived enough years. You will notice the same patterns repeating themselves over and over again. And I paid attention last off-season when I named Logan Henderson my top pitching Target, writing, “Henderson is pinging off a lot of similarities in my gut to where Joe Ryan was in 2021. Ryan was a low velo discrimination guy who got lukewarm respect at best in the prospect world, and even after proving his skills would transfer to the Majors in 26.2 IP to close out 2021, he still got super lukewarm respect. I remember being the high guy on him, ranking him 59th overall going into 2022, and looking at Baseball Reference, he was only in the very back of the Top 100 at the mainstream outlets. And now history is repeating itself with Logan Henderson. He’s one of my top 2026 pitcher targets relative to price, whether he has a rotation spot to start the season or not.” … and then just like Joe Ryan, he went full ace mode the next year. Actually, even better than Joe Ryan. He put up a 2.47 ERA, 0.84 WHIP and a 29.6/5.1 K%/BB% in 98.1 IP. The reason I was buying so hard was because Henderson proved his low velo fastball would play against MLB competition in 2025, and then he proved it again with the 93.1 MPH heater putting up a .234 xwOBA and +14 Run Value. His famed changeup dominated too with a 37.4% whiff%. He finished 14th overall amongst pitchers on the Fangraphs Player Rater (20th on the Razzball Player Rater), which is just wild considering how few innings he pitched. Not only were people sleeping on how high his upside was despite the low velo, but like I wrote last week in the Minnesota Twins Team Report in the Kody Clemens victory lap blurb, lack of playing time is the best way to rack up value in off-season drafts. I didn’t care that Henderson didn’t have a rotation spot to start the season, I hyped him and went after him anyway. If I was going to nitpick his season a bit, I will note that the modest 20.8% whiff% on the fastball isn’t great, leading to a 26.5% whiff% overall, which is only above average. He also doesn’t have a great third pitch with the cutter putting up a negative 2 Run Value with a 21.2% whiff%. He didn’t have any platoon splits, but working on a better third pitch should be a priority this off-season. I don’t think he’s actually 2.47 ERA good. I’m not going to rank him with Miz/Schlittler/Skubal/Yama, but he is going to be ranked in that very next ace tier under them. I’m still going after him at his new high price. – 2027 Projection: 14/3.26/0.98/184 in 165 IP

Shane Drohan – MIL, LHP, 28.3 – Remember what I just said in the Kody Clemens/Logan Henderson blurb about getting the best value on guys who aren’t locked into playing time … enter Shane Drohan, who is one of my top pitching targets for 2027. If you’ve read my work, you know I am drawn to an elite fastball, and Drohan’s 94.9 MPH fastball from the left side is electric with a 29.5% whiff% and .258 xwOBA. That isn’t all he’s got though, he also has an elite slider that put up a 40.4% whiff% and .214 xwOBA. His other pitches aren’t as good, but he’s got a lot of them with a sinker that keeps the ball on the ground, a cutter that put up a +3 Run Value, and a curve and change that can miss some bats. And the control was solid with about average walk rates. There is just so much to like and so much to work with here, and I think his price is going to be super low. He wasn’t particularly great last year with a 4.19 ERA, 1.32 WHIP, and 23.7/8.3 K%/BB% in 124.2 IP. And like I mentioned, he’s not expected to have a rotation spot to start the year. I think his value is going to be sooooooo cheap. He might be nearly free in most leagues. And I’m going to take advantage of that. – 2027 Projection: 8/3.65/1.24/145 in 130 IP

Jacob Misiorowski – MIL, RHP, 25.0 – Being the #1 dynasty pitcher in the game is the kiss of death. In 2021, the top pitcher was Shane Bieber, and after 2022, his ace days were already over. In 2023, the top pitcher was Corbin Burnes (Burnes was also #1 in 2022) with Shane McClanahan a close 2nd, and just a few short years later they are beaten, bruised, and not even close to that lofty ranking. In 2024, the top pitcher was Spencer Strider, writing, “he’s in a tier of his own as the easy #1 overall pitcher in dynasty.” Looking back, not so easy. In 2025, it was Paul Skenes, writing, “He’s the easiest #1 dynasty pitcher in the game ranking I’ve ever made since … 2024. Spencer Strider was a damn easy call last off-season, and he’s a perfect example of the only thing that can go wrong, injuries. Pitchers break, and pitchers who throw upper 90’s seem to break even more.” In 2026, I anointed Garrett Crochet #1, and well, the only crocheting he did was in the dugout as he nursed a shoulder injury. Even if you went with the consensus of Skenes at #1, his 2026 was mighty mediocre. So it brings me no great joy to announce the new #1 dynasty pitcher in the game is … Jacob Misiorowski. Sorry man, but you deserve it. He made one of the most insane control/command jumps that I can remember by bringing his BB% down from 11.4% to 6.6%. Actually, I can remember a similar jump, because I gave Misiorwoski the Tyler Glasnow comp a few years ago, and Glasnow went from a 11.3% BB% in his age 24 year old season to a 6.1% BB% in his age 25 year old. My bad, sorry to bring up Glasnow in this blurb now too. The 37.9% K%, 1.80 ERA and 100.6 MPH fastball are inhuman. And the cherry on top is that he won me my +6500 ($16 to win $1,056) bet on him leading the league in strikeouts, which he won on the final day with 252 K. There is no doubt that this is the new #1 dynasty pitcher in the game … and I say that while smiling and shaking my head. Please let this time be different. He ranked 15th overall on my Top 24 Sneak Peek of the 2027 Top 1,000 Dynasty Baseball Rankings (Patreon). – 2027 Projection: 17/2.55/0.93/257 in 185 IP

Hitters

Cooper Pratt – MIL, SS, 22.8 – I hate to be the party pooper. I hate to be the parents who returned home early from vacation to find their kid throwing a party and unplugging the stereo and telling everyone to get the hell out of their house. I know Pratt is a World Series hero. But I think I might be the only one who isn’t going after Cooper Pratt next year in fantasy. It’s only because of how high I think his price is going to get. He doesn’t hit the ball hard at all with a 27.4% Hard Hit% in the majors and a 86.6 MPH EV and 35.2% Hard Hit% at Triple-A. And he doesn’t lift/pull at all with a 9.1 degree launch and 14.1% Air Pull% in the majors (9.2 degree launch and 10.3% Air Pull% at Triple-A). Even in his great playoff run he put up a 25% Hard Hit% and a .278 xwOBA. The 69.9 MPH bat speed is below average. That is a recipe for extremely light power output. The plate skills are excellent, but he hasn’t been some elite BA guy in the minors with a .241 BA at Triple-A this year and a .238 BA at Double-A in 2025. It’s not like I don’t see the upside. He’s only 21 years old and he’s 6’4”, so there is time for him to improve his raw and game power. He runs a ton and he’s a really good base stealer. Again, it’s not that I don’t like him, it’s just that I’m assuming relative to his new very high price, I’m not going to be going after him. If he wasn’t 6’4”, I would be more sure of my evaluation of his future, but I don’t want to just assume some huge power breakout is coming because of his size. He was never projected to be a big power guy even in the minors. It’s much more fun to hype a player up than preach some caution, but I can only be honest and tell you how I’m going to value him in my leagues. And that is good but not great. – 2027 Projection: 78/14/71/.267/.335/.398/33 Prime Projection: 91/18/78/.284/.358/.434/33

Bullpen

Trevor Megill – MIL, Closer, 33.4 – There was closer confusion/competition last off-season between Megill and Abner Uribe, but when in doubt, always bet on the incumbent. Seniority rules the day in the bullpen most of the time, and seniority won out again with Megill locking in the main closer role. And once again, he was dominant with a 2.63 ERA, 28.5/6.2 K%/BB%, and 30 saves in 61.2 IP. The fastball velo was down a bit, but 97.9 MPH is still plenty fast. The pitch put up a +12 Run Value. The knuckle curve is mega elite with a 46.5% whiff% and .178 xwOBA. He’s under contract one more year with Milwaukee, and assuming Milwaukee doesn’t trade him (not necessarily a good assumption), Uribe and Ashby will have to wait one more year to fight it out for the closer role in his absence. Megill is a locked in elite closer. – 2027 Projection: 4/2.79/1.03/73/30 saves in 62 IP

Milwaukee Brewers 2027 Top 10 Fantasy Dynasty Baseball Prospects

1) Jesus Made – MIL, SS, 19.11 – It seems as if Made is still going to be the consensus #1 prospect on real life, mainstream lists, which is totally reasonable, but I think that 103 wRC+ in 122 games at Double-A leaves the door open for some other options, and when the other options are as beastly as Josue and Sebastian, I’m going to walk through that door. Made ranked 3rd in my Top 17 Sneak Peek of the 2027 Top 500 Dynasty Prospects Rankings (Patreon). Don’t get it twisted though, Made is still going to be an absolute stud. Keep in mind he played the first month of 2026 as an 18 year old. And looking beyond wRC+, the offense performance was extremely impressive. He put up a 14.3/10.2 K%/BB% with a 18.3% whiff%. The bat is special. He’s 6’1”, 221 pounds with a howitzer of a lefty swing that is going to produce at least plus raw power at peak and likely more than that. He knocked out 14 homers and that was with a 52.5% GB%. He’s definitely going to have to learn how to tap into more of his game power, but I have zero doubts that is coming, and he doesn’t have to be a lift/pull guy to dominate with his contact/raw power. And the base stealing is there too with 37 steals. I know we love rankings and we love to crown #1 this and #1 that, but just look at the top of dynasty rankings over the past few years. It’s constantly getting jumbled with the elite players ranking 3rd one year, then 5th the next, then 10th, then back to 5th etc … it’s not some static thing, meaning my money is on Josue, Sebastian, and Jesus (and others) flipping back and forth and back again. The order isn’t important. The important thing is that you have one of them. – 2027 Projection: 59/14/51/.266/.332/.434/18 Prime Projection: 113/28/93/.288/.370/.502/28

2) Andrew Fischer – MIL, 1B/3B, 23.10 – How much swing and miss can you stomach? I know there are dynasty owners who can’t stomach very much at all and basically take these guys off their draft board. But I’m not one of those owners when the upside is just as high as the risk, and that is the case with Fischer. He jacked out 48 homers with a 33.0/18.2 K%/BB% in 126 games split between High-A (173 wRC+) and Double-A (154 wRC+). I take it as a good sign that the whiff rates improved at Double-A with a 35.6% whiff% (37.9% at High-A). Obviously that is still very high, but if Fischer can live in the mid 30’s whiff rate area, he’s going to be one of the best home run hitters in the majors. The EV and Hard Hit are double plus to elite. The lift/pull is extreme. He’s an OBP machine. If he’s Murakami 2.0, that is not a bad outcome at all, especially in OBP leagues, and I think his hit tool is potentially a step above Murakami’s as Murakami put up a 42.3% whiff%. There is risk Fischer’s whiff rates could end up there in the majors, but I’ve seen plenty of these type of sluggers keep about the same whiff rates from the minors into the majors. And of course, there is potential for them to keep on improving. I’m not one to shy away from hit tool risk with this type of upside, so I’m going to be aggressive with Fischer in my rankings this off-season, but if you play that game differently and stay away from these types, that is totally fair too. I get it. – 2027 Projection: 45/19/51/.209/.305/447/2 Prime Projection: 91/38/99/.228/.337/.503/6

3) Braylon Payne – MIL, OF, 20.8 – Payne was one of my top FYPD Targets in the 2024 Draft, and even after his down-ish 2025, I held serve on his value because I still loved the age/talent/organization combo. And I’m happy I did because he went full power breakout in 2026, slashing .277/.358/.552 with 28 homers, 25 steals, and a 29.1/10.5 K%/BB% in 102 games at High-A and Double-A. The only thing that dropped off at Double-A was the walk rate, as the 5 homers, 3 steals, .277 BA and 114 wRC+ in 25 games looked good, especially when you take into account his age. The raw power leveled up to at least plus levels and he brought down his GB% 8.5 points to 41.8%. The hit tool is definitely still a problem though. The 29.1% K% and 33% whiff% is in the danger zone. His lefty swing is still very choppy and slappy. It’s not smooth. There is still a lot more refinement needed here, which is okay because he was 19 years old for the majority of 2026, but I do think there is a lot of risk still in here. I’m not ready to put him into the near elite prospect range quite yet. He’s a Top 30-ish guy for me. Still really good. – ETA: 2028 Prime Projection: 88/25/.246/.324/.457/25

4) Luis Pena – MIL, SS/3B, 20.4 – Pena had a super rough 2026. He was off to a great start in 12 games (a lot of it BABIP induced) before collapsing in the dugout during a game in late April. It was a scary moment, and the most important thing is that he ended up okay. He returned a month later, but he was never really able to recapture that early season hot steak. He hit only 3 homers in 70 games. The 47.6% GB% is high. The 19.9 K% and 24.2% whiff% are good, but they aren’t close to elite levels or anything like that. The 110 wRC+ in 51 games at High-A is solid, but it dropped off at Double-A with a 81 wRC+ in 16 games. I would be apt to basically give him a full mulligan for the 2026 season considering the scary incident, but he also closed the season with a fractured fibula that required surgery. It could impact his 2027 season as there is a 6-9 month recovery timeline. The best part of his season was the 35 steals, and now we’ll have to see how he recovers from this very serious leg/ankle injury. As much as I want to hand wave away the season, I do think it’s dropped his value a bit. Or at least put a stop to the hype that was building from 2025 and very early in 2026. He’s definitely a clear hold, and he’s still so young, but we’re going to have to wait at least another year to get the momentum going on him again. – ETA: 2028 Prime Projection: 89/18/74/.278/.339/.441/31

5) Josh Adamczewski – MIL, OF, 21.11 – Adamszewski is a high floor prospect with an excellent feel to hit and strong plate skills, and then in 2026 he went about adding to his upside. The power was up with 18 homers in 116 games split between High-A and Double-A. And his aggression on the bases was up too, stealing 18 bags in 20 attempts. I still don’t think he’s going to be a huge power/speed guy at the major league level, but he can be at least above average, and what you are really buying here is the pure bat. He hit .300 with a 19.2/15.8 K%/BB%. He numbers dropped off a bit at Double-A, but a 125 wRC+ in 66 games ain’t bad. And I also can’t help but get major nostalgia vibes when watching his swing. I don’t think I’ve ever seen a swing as close to Jimmy Leyritz. It’s the lefty version of Leyritz’s swing with the extended/stiff front leg. And that lefty swing is damn explosive. The biggest negative is that he’s not a valuable defensive player, so the bat is going to have to be good, but it sure looks like the bat will be good. I view Adamczewski as a potentially above average all category contributor. – ETA: 2028 Prime Projection: 88/20/79/.273/.344/.447/17

6) Brady Ebel – MIL, SS, 19.8 – Brady Ebel worked out so well for Milwaukee that they decided to go back to the Ebel well in the 2026 Draft too, but we’ll get to that later. This blurb is about the 32nd overall pick in 2025, and Brady lived up to that draft slot by slashing .261/.417/.420 with 10 homers, 39 steals, and a 20.4/19.4 K%/BB% in 105 games at Single-A as a mostly 18 year old. That was good for a 128 wRC+. He’s 6’3”, 195 pounds with a smooth lefty swing, so while the power isn’t huge right now, it’s only going to keep growing and growing. And as it does, the good feel to hit and approach will be waiting. And the real surprise of his season was how good of a base stealer he was. He went 40 for 44. He’s not a burner but he’s a good athlete and he’s obviously a threat on the bases too. He didn’t hit at all at High-A in 10 games to close out the season, but I would ignore that. Ebel’s rise has already begun, and once the power really hits, which I think it will, the hype could explode. – ETA: 2029 Prime Projection: 84/22/81/.268/.340/.448/24

7) Trey Ebel – MIL, SS, 18.6 – Selected 25th overall in the 2026 MLB Draft, this ranking is me purely tailing the Brewers. Who am I to argue with the best developmental organization in baseball. If they like Ebel, I like Ebel. He’s not necessarily the type of high school bat I love going after as a hit tool first, not very toolsy guy, but plenty of prospects breakout from this bucket, and with Milwaukee at his back, he’s a good bet to be one of them. He’s also very young for his class and his brother, Brady, just had a very strong year in Milwaukee’s organization after getting drafted in 2025. He’s 6’0”, 180 pounds with a very simple and direct righty swing that makes tons of contact. He only hit .190 in his pro debut, but the 22.0/27.1 K%/BB% shows the mature plate skills, and here he is popping out his first pro homer. Just look at how simple that swing is, and he jacked that thing out 400 feet at 101 MPH. Considering how young he is, it’s not hard to envision getting a lot stronger and ending up with a potent hit/power combo. He has below average speed, but speed is something that can be improved as well considering how young he is, and you don’t have to be fast to be a good base stealer, so I wouldn’t rule out contribution in that category yet either. There is plenty going for him, and gets the big org bump. He ranked 20th overall in my Top 36 2027 FYPD Rankings (full Top 130+ coming later this off-season). – ETA: 2030 Prime Projection: 88/20/79/.275/.346/.443/10

8) Luke Adams – MIL, 1B/3B, 22.11 – Adams has always had excellent plate skills, we’ve just been waiting for the power to tick up, and it ticked up in 2026. He’s still not a beastly power hitter, but a 104.8 MPH 90th% EV with a 41.5% Hard Hit% isn’t bad, and it resulted in 16 homers in 71 games at Triple-A. With his contact ability (14.2/14.2 K%/BB%) and lift/pull (14.7 degree launch with a 21.6% Air Pull%), he doesn’t have to be a huge hard hit guy to knock out homers. And at 6’4”, 233 pounds, you definitely can’t rule out a lot more coming. All this guy has done is put up huge wRC+’s his entire career, and it sat 154 in 2026. I’ve wanted to bet on Adams bat since naming him a deep league FYPD target back in 2022 (372nd overall pick with a $282,500 signing bonus), and I still want to bet on his bat. He’s going to have to fight for playing time and he doesn’t have the huge power associated with a 1B bat, but there is just so much to like about his well rounded offensive profile. – 2027 Projection: 16/4/14/.247/.318/.408/1 Prime Projection: 79/22/76/.264/.342/.444/7

9) Blake Burke – MIL, 1B, 23.10 – Burke has playing time risk, platoon risk, and hit tool risk, but for a guy who just went 34/29 in the upper minors, he’s getting a tremendous amount of disrespect. Just no hype at all, but I like him. He’s a big man at 6’3”, 236 pounds, and his lefty swing has a looseness and athleticism that I love. I’m a big fan of the swing. And while he’s not fast, the 29 steals shows the type of athlete he is. He’s a big man who is light on his feet. The raw power is plus to double plus. And while there is hit tool risk, a 23.7/10.2 K%/BB% with a 28.1% whiff% at Double-A is not bad all. The hit tool tanked when he got to Triple-A with a 32.1% K% and .193 BA in 31 games, but the 30.6% whiff% wasn’t too terrible there either. Milwaukee is going to need power bats at 1B/DH in the near future, and Burke looks setup to be one of those power bats in a strong side of a platoon role (he had a .547 OPS vs. lefties). They drafted him 34th overall in 2024. They like this kid and he’s going to get a shot eventually. Even in a platoon role, he can make a major fantasy impact. He’s an excellent upside/proximity target at a mighty reasonable price. – 2027 Projection: 18/7/24/.230/.302/.428/2 Prime Projection: 68/28/81/.249/.327/.481/9

10) Sawyer Strosnider – MIL, OF, 21.9 – Selected 66th overall, I can’t help but want to bet on Strosnider’s talent and now also his organization. This was a perfect landing spot for him. His junior year wasn’t bad at all (13 homers, 12 steals, and a 1.005 OPS in 50 games in the Big 12), but it wasn’t the full on explosion that would have catapulted him into the top of the 1st round. The hit tool also didn’t take a step forward with a .273 BA and 18.4% K%, which is what teams wanted to see. But the top of the scale raw talent was still on full display with double plus hard hit ability and plus speed at 6’2”, 200 pounds. The lefty swing is quick, powerful and athletic. The Brewers sent him directly to High-A to start his pro career, which I take as a vote of confidence, and he produced there too, slashing .276/.388/.448 with 2 homers, 7 steals, and a 29.1/11.7 K%/BB% in 22 games. That was good for a 118 wRC+. The hit tool risk popped up as well, but keep in mind he got thrown right into the High-A fire, not Single-A, and also that he had just turned 21 at the end of June. He was age appropriate for the level. If Milwaukee can refine the hit tool and/or add more lift/pull to his game, the upside is massive. Even if they can’t make those changes, think something like Garrett Mitchell as the comp. – ETA: 2029 Prime Projection: 78/18/67/.248/.323/.429/24

11) Ricki Moneys – MIL, SS, 18.6 – Ricki “he’s so money and he clearly knows it” Moneys lived up to his name in last year’s international class, bringing in $1.15 million worth of moneys, and then he went out in the DSL and lived up to his name there too, slashing .289/.440/.479 with 5 homers, 28 steals, and a 18.5/18.9 K%/BB% in 53 games. He cracked my Top “1,000” last off-season at #1,046, writing, “He has an open righty batting stance with a quick swing that is looking to do real damage. He already did real damage in the Amateur Scouting League, putting up a 1.723 OPS and winning MVP. Good feel to hit, growing power at a projectable 6’0”, good athlete, and a history of production. Pretty Money(s).” … and that vicious righty swing was in full force with big hard hit and big bat speed. There is some swing and miss in his game, so there is some hit tool risk as he faces more advanced pitching, and while the 128 wRC+ is really good, it’s not exactly utter domination. He’s an excellent DSL prospect with big breakout potential, but I do think we should see it at higher levels before getting too crazy. – ETA: 2031 Prime Projection: 82/24/86/.259/.332/.452/20

Dynasty Baseball Thought/Strategy of the Day (which may or may not be related to the team I’m covering that day)

Jumping off from the Jacob Misiorowski blurb, you know I’ve been a huge proponent of building offense first in dynasty. I wrote about it in my first strategy article, 11 Dynasty Baseball Rules to Live By, which is still one of my favorite things I’ve ever written. This Strategy blurb isn’t about that. It’s actually about the opposite, which is that you do still need great pitching to win leagues. You can’t just completely ignore pitching. At some point, you need to shift your strategy to a pitching focused one when your offense is ready, and you actually want to make that shift in anticipation of your offense being ready. Don’t wait too long or you are going to ruin your offensive core’s primes like you’re Arte Moreno to Mike Trout. In my 18 teamer, I wasn’t afraid to take Chase Burns with my 1st round FYPD pick when he dropped, because nobody wanted to take a pitcher. Two years later, he led my pitching staff to a championship. I regret passing on Payton Tolle in last years off-season prospect draft when he dropped in favor of my favorite hitter, Ethan Conrad. I had Tolle ranked a lot higher in my rankings. Should have went Tolle, but I just didn’t want to take a pitcher. I wasn’t afraid to buy Yamamoto in the auction this last off-season for an actually reasonable price when I think everyone was scared of how many innings he pitched in 2025 (including the playoffs and pitching on short rest). I’m going to keep him for 3 years at $37 this off-season. Pray for me. I paid up for Drew Rasmussen and Cole Ragans (that didn’t work out ha) in trades. It hurts to trade top offensive prospects for any pitcher, because well, they could go Cole Ragans on you, but it’s something you have to shift to at some point. You know you are going to hit some landmines. You know you are going to regret watching that beastly offensive prospect dominate for the next decade. But if you want to win a championship, the mindset shift from hitting to pitching has to happen, and you don’t want to wait too long to make the shift.
