That is a tough one. I lean yes but it would depend on who I had to replace Lindor at SS with and who the lesser player was. The extra team control on Dahl and Bregman is also nice though.

It would depend on how the rest of my system looked and if i thought i could use another arm, but overall, I’m going to take the bat. And I happen to really like Nova. If i re did my first year player rankings, he would be on the list for sure. Young arms are just so risky, Albertos already got shut down with a forearm issue last year. Upside is an ace though

Totally unrelated and incredibly deep prospect question, but I have an upcoming decision to make between Jose Albertos (CHC) or Freudys Nova (HOU) from this year’s signing class (more or less)

My question isn’t necessarily pick one, because they’re both so young it’s more of a question of strategy, but when acquiring potential with players that young that have no track record is it better to pick upside even if it is an an arm or stick with projectable bats as usual?

Dansby I would probably put right after Taillon. Would really come down to team needs at that point. Glasnow would go in basically the same spot too. Not sure I would be able to part with Taillon for Glasnow at this point considering the success Taillon had in the Majors already, although I love Glasnow’s upside. Benintendi slots in around Buxton’s spot. He is much safer than Buxton, but Buxton has the upside on him. It’s tough between the two. I think I still lean slightly Buxton, but really torn on that one.

Glasnow hasn’t graduated yet, still under 50 IP. Still a prospect who will show up on top 100’s.
