I don’t see him making the team out of camp considering he has gotten no time at Triple-A, but I guess it isn’t out of the question if he really shows out in Spring Training. He’s the type of older prospect where you get high upside without having to draft a teenager, so that’s always a nice plus. The groundball rates at Double-A were a little higher than optimal for me, he’s been very old for every level he’s played at and I don’t fully trust the hit tool, so he’s not someone I’m necessarily the high man on, but I definitely see his appeal.

In reply to jose hernandez. Hi Jose, Hoerner is an elite contact, plus speed bat with enough pop to not be too worried he will drop off offensively. And yea, finding positions for those guys is going to be huge for their PT. Hopefully their bats are so good they force the issue

What is your opinion on Blake Dunn. He is a similar hitter to my two other favorites Black and Marsee.
He was old for his level at 25 already and the Reds have a ton of OF, even the infielders play OF there.
Do you see him making the team?

Hi Halp,
I have a couple Cubs Morel and Hoerner. Morel’s no position is a problem. He has not play 1B in the Dominican yet. They are using him in LF and 3B, even played a little SS.
Give me a little something on GG 2B Hoerner. I also have RHP Horton.
I like Triantos’s bat, but I already have a Cub without a position in Morel.
